While it may seem like George W. Bush is the worst president in American history, this is not the case according the The Times Online.Bush actually ranked 37/43, tied with Richard Nixon, according to the panel of experts who created the list.
The presidents who ranked lower than Bush included:
James Bucanan 1857-1861
Made just about every decision wrong regarding Civil War issues. Almost destroyed Democratic Party, and the nation.
Franklin Pierce 1853-57
Abandoned by his own party for sucking so badly. The Republican party spawned as opposition to his crapulance.
Martin Van Buren 1837-41
All about killing Native Americans with a Hitleresque blood thirst.
William Harrison1841
Was only president for 32 days.
