George Bush Completes Legacy

In the final weeks of the Bush Presidency, W has decided to try and place a cherry on the steaming turd that is his legacy.

Of course, it's not a cherry for you or I, but merely the last draft of a bucket list created as one final gift to the lobby groups, corporations and special interest groups that have owned this administration.

Some of the 90 or so law changes include:
  • Ease controls on pollution that causes green house gasses.
  • Relax drinking water standards.
  • Lift a restriction of mountaintop coal mining (that's where they blow up a mountain destroying everything on it or near it, to save on the expense of traditional mining).
  • Remove certain commercial fishing restrictions, including requirements to be environmentally responsible.
  • Make it easier for mining companies to dump coal slurry into streams.
  • Allow natural gas pipelines to operate at a higher pressure.
  • Reduce green requirements for power plants.
  • Ease limits on pollution from coal powered power plants, near national parks.
  • Allow more toxic emissions from chemical plants, oil refineries, and other industrial plants.
George W. Bush; the gift that keeps on giving.
